Service Description

Lymphedema is a chronic condition that may develop for a variety of reasons, including infection, obesity, surgery, a sedentary lifestyle, trauma, or wounds. While there is currently no cure, lymphedema can be effectively managed with appropriate treatment and ongoing care. When left unmanaged, lymphedema may contribute to chronic wounds, recurrent infections, skin changes, and mobility challenges. There is hope. Our lymphedema management add-on service incorporates elements of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) to support swelling management and overall comfort. Services may include: Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) – Gentle, specialized techniques to encourage lymphatic fluid movement. Compression Support – Guidance and techniques to help manage and maintain reduced swelling. Skin Care Education – Strategies to protect the skin and reduce the risk of complications. Therapeutic Exercise – Gentle movement and exercises to support lymphatic circulation and mobility. Our sessions are performed by Lymphedema therapist, Liz who has extensive experience in helping others.
